Weather Forecast for Aug 8: Rain in Delhi, Hyderabad, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh

A Western Disturbance is seen over North Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this, light to moderate rains are expected to occur over Jammu and Kashmir. But Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh may continue to receive heavy Monsoon rains.

The axis of Monsoon trough is seen extending from Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and North Odisha up to Northwest Bay of Bengal. With this, Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan and Delhi may receive light rains.

Due to the downward shift of the Monsoon trough, rains are expected to reduce over Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

A cyclonic circulation is seen over East Assam. Due to which, rains over Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal may receive one or two spells of heavy rains. Whereas, remaining parts will continue to receive light to moderate rains.

In Central India, heavy showers are expected to lash North and Northwest parts of Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, rains are likely to reduce over Chhattisgarh and Odisha but isolated light to moderate rains cannot be ruled out over these regions.

Light rains are likely possible over South Gujarat, Konkan & Goa, Vidarbha and remaining parts of Maharashtra. However, subdued rainfall activities are possible over Gujarat and Kutch region.

Due to an inactive trough, rains over Kerala and Karnataka is likely to reduce. However, few parts of Kerala may continue to receive light Monsoon showers.

Another trough is seen running from Central India up to Interior Tamil Nadu. Due to this, Telangana including Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu may receive light rains.
