At present, Monsoon activity is mainly concentrating over the Central India. All thanks to the weather systems persisting around the region.
The cyclonic circulation continues to prevail over South Rajasthan and adjoining Kutch region of Gujarat. Besides this, the axis of Monsoon trough is also running through this system across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh up to the low pressure area which has moved inland and is now marked over Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal.
With all these systems interacting with each other, moderate to heavy showers are likely to lash Kutch region and South Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Odisha and parts of Gangetic West Bengal.
These systems have also kept the off-shore trough activated, which is running from South Gujarat up to Coastal Karnataka. With this, moderate to heavy showers will continue over Konkan & Goa and Coastal Karnataka. Few places might also get extremely heavy rains as well.
Meanwhile, rains will increase over Kerala on Friday that could see some light to moderate rains. Interiors of Peninsular India will continue with the subdued rainfall.
Similarly, parts of North and East India, right from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and even Northeast India will also record minimal Monsoon rains.
However, hilly states of the region may see scattered light rains on account of the easterly winds.
