The axis of Monsoon trough has now shifted to foothills of Himalaya which is why light to moderate rains are likely over Jammu and Kashmir with moderate to heavy spells of showers over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Rain activities will continue over foothills of Punjab, North Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh.
Weather of remaining parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and most parts of Rajasthan will remain dry.
Coming to East India, a cyclonic circulation has developed over Northwest Bay of Bengal. The axis of Monsoon trough is also passing through Gangetic West Bengal. With this, rains are likely to increase over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, North Odisha and West Bengal. Scattered showers will continue over Northeast India.

Coming towards Central India, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh are likely to witness light to moderate rains but weather of Vidarbha, Marathwada, West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat will remain almost dry. Though isolated showers are possible.
Meanwhile Subdued Monsoon will continue over Konkan and Goa in the absence of any weather system. However, coastal Karnataka and parts of Kerala may receive light to moderate rains. Scattered showers are also possible over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands but weather of Telangana, Rayalaseema will remain almost dry.

Good rains are expected over cities of Kolkata, Lucknow, Shimla, Varanasi, while Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad will remain almost dry.
