Weather Forecast for Aug 28: Good rains in Mumbai, Chennai, Rajasthan, MP, light rain in Delhi

The two cyclonic circulations over south and west Rajasthan have merged together and now seen over south-central Rajasthan. With this, fairly widespread moderate rains with isolated heavy rains will continue over southeast Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the low pressure area is persisting in west-central Bay of Bengal off the Andhra Pradesh coast. Moreover, the axis of Monsoon trough is running through both the systems.

Now, good rains are likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, North Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Telangana, and parts of Vidarbha and Marathwada region of Maharashtra on Sunday. One or two heavy spells also cannot be ruled out.

On the West Coast, the off-shore trough continues to run along the coast. Good rains are likely to lash Konkan and Goa region during the next 24 hours, including Mumbai which will also witness some heavy showers. Coastal Karnataka will continue with scattered light to moderate rains, while Monsoon will remain subdued over Kerala.

Moving up in North, increase in moisture levels will lead to scattered light to moderate rains over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. However, rains will be patchy in nature.

Meanwhile, Northeast India will continue with light to moderate rains but East India including East Uttar Pradesh will witness subdued rains only.
