Southwest Monsoon has been giving relentless rains over West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar. This ongoing spell of rainfall over most parts of East and Central India could be attributed to the well-marked low pressure area over Jharkhand and adjoining areas of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. A trough is extending from the well-marked low pressure area to coastal Andhra Pradesh. Therefore, a rainy day likely over this region.
Tomorrow, the axis of Monsoon trough will be running from Rajasthan to Northeast Bay of Bengal, across East Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
Heavy to very heavy rains are likely over West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, North Chhattisgarh, East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh and North Coastal Odisha.
The low pressure area over South Rajasthan and adjoining areas will persist. It will bring light to moderate showers at many places over East Rajasthan and scattered over adjoining Gujarat. But weather will remain subdued over North Rajasthan and West Gujarat.
The Western Disturbance is moving across Jammu and Kashmir. Tomorrow we cannot rule out scattered light rains over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana. Expect breezy conditions and partly cloudy skies. Localized light rain seems a possibility over most parts including Delhi.
Northeast India will receive only scattered light rains tomorrow.
The feeble off-shore trough from South Maharashtra to North Kerala may bring light to moderate rains along the Coast.
