The Western disturbance is now seen over Jammu and Kashmir, while the axis of Monsoon trough is also seen running close to the foothills of Himalayas through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Therefore, moderate rains at many places may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. With this, threat of cloud burst, flash floods and landslides loom large over the hilly region.
Many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh may also receive moderate rains along with one or two heavy spells. The weather of Rajasthan is likely to remain almost dry, though isolated light rains cannot be ruled out over this region.
The Monsoon trough will also give good rains over foothills of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Scattered light to moderate rains are also possible over southern districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, Jharkhand and few parts of Odisha.

Meanwhile, Monsoon is likely to remain subdued over Central parts of the country. However, North Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh may receive scattered light rains but remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh, South Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Marathwada regions of Maharashtra and most parts of Gujarat will continue to remain almost dry.

Down South, light to moderate rains may occur over Konkan & Goa, a few places over Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Though scattered light rains are possible over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and few places over Madhya Maharashtra. Mumbai will continue to see light to moderate rains. The weather of Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu will remain almost dry.
