Weather Forecast for Aug 19: Good rain in Hyderabad, light showers in Chennai, Bengaluru

August 18, 2017 6:17 PM |

To start with North, a feeble Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir and an induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan. So, any significant rain activity is not likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and North Rajasthan. However, isolated light rains cannot be ruled out. Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh may record few spells of rain.

Coming to Central region, a low pressure area is marked near South Chhattisgarh and adjoining Vidarbha region. In wake of this, good rain and thundershowers will occur over the region along with Marathwada and Southeast Madhya Pradesh. One or two heavy to very heavy spells are also possible in these areas. The weather over West Madhya Pradesh, South Rajasthan and Gujarat will remain dry.

Moving to East and Northeast side, light to moderate rains are anticipated over parts of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and northeastern states. Southern districts of Odisha may also record one or two heavy spells. The reason for these rains could be given to moderate winds coming from Bay of Bengal up to the region.
