August 14, 2016 3:47 PM | Skymet Weather Team

The low pressure area over North Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas will weaken and be seen as a cyclonic circulation lying over southeast Uttar Pradesh.

Another circulation will be seen over Southwest Uttar Pradesh. Axis of Monsoon trough will be moving across Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal. The combined effect of all these weather systems will bring good rains over many parts of Uttar Pradesh, East and North Madhya Pradesh, North Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Odisha.

Bihar and Foothills of Uttar Pradesh will witness subdued rainfall activity.

Due to moisture incursion from Bay of Bengal, Northeast India will receive scattered rains with one or two places receiving heavy showers.

The off-shore trough along the West Coast has become insignificant. Therefore, we expect scattered light to moderate rains at few places over Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka and adjoining North Coastal Kerala. Interiors of Peninsular India will receive isolated light rains. South Kerala and South Tamil Nadu will remain mainly dry.

Most parts of West India including Gujarat, West Rajasthan, and North Haryana will remain mainly dry.

Tomorrow, Delhi and Kolkata will receive good rains. Mumbai will receive light rains if at all. Chennai will be mainly dry with partly cloudy skies.
