Weather Forecast for Aug 12: Heavy Monsoon rains in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, UP, light rain in Delhi

The deep depression over East India has now weakened into a low pressure area and is now seen over Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and adjoining parts of Bihar. With this, moderate to heavy Monsoon showers will continue over Jharkhand, North Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh and Southeast Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, cyclonic circulation over Northeast Rajasthan continues to persist. Moreover, the axis of Monson trough is also running through Rajasthan, centre of the circulation, Uttar Pradesh, centre of low pressure area and further up to eastcentral Bay of Bengal.

These systems combined together will give good rains over Northeast Rajasthan, Southwest Uttar Pradesh, and North Madhya Pradesh.

While, scattered light to moderate will continue over Delhi-NCR and Haryana on Friday.

In addition to this, the Western Disturbance is also moving across Jammu and Kashmir, giving scattered rains over the state, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Moving down south, the feeble off-shore trough continues to run along the West Coast, from South Gujarat up to South Maharashtra.

This will bring mainly moderate rains over Konkan and Goa and coastal Gujarat, while scattered light rains are likely over Coastal Karnataka.

Meanwhile, interiors of Peninsular India including most parts of Maharashtra will continue with subdued Monsoon rains.
