August 9, 2016 6:33 PM |

The low pressure area over Central India is now seen over East Rajasthan and adjoining Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Moreover, the axis of Monsoon trough is also passing through Rajasthan, via this low pressure, further up to Bay of Bengal.

With this, we can expect heavy to very heavy rains over East Rajasthan, Northwest Madhya Pradesh and parts of West Uttar Pradesh.

Also, hilly states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand along with northern plains of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and North Rajasthan may see light to moderate showers.

We can also see two cyclonic circulations over Central and South Pakistan, bringing scattered light to moderate showers over Gujarat and South Rajasthan.

Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation in Bay of Bengal has moved inland and has also intensified into a well-marked low pressure area, seen over Jharkhand and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal. Under its influence, heavy to extremely heavy showers may occur over Jharkhand, parts of Chhattisgarh and West Bengal including Kolkata on Wednesday.

Down south, the feeble off-shore trough continues to run along the West Coast, bringing light to moderate showers over Coastal Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka and North Kerala.

Interiors of Peninsular India will continue with subdued Monsoon rains on Wednesday as well.
