In North India a Western disturbance is persisting over Jammu and Kashmir and the axis of Monsoon trough has also shifted over Northern plains and is now running from Punjab to Bay of Bengal across Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, therefore we expect moderate rains at many places with few heavy spells over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh may also receive light to moderate rains.

Taking about Central India rain will reduce significantly over Gujarat and South Rajasthan. Though these places may receive isolated light rains. Scattered light rains are also possible over many parts of Madhya Pradesh and few places of Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha.

The axis of Monsoon trough is passing through Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Therefore good rains are expected over Bihar, parts of Jharkhand and at a few places over West Bengal. Light to moderate rains are also possible over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Rest northeastern states will witness light rains.
