A fresh Western Disturbance is approaching North India and is presently lying over North Pakistan and adjoining areas. With this, we can expect scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. While Uttarakhand will only have isolated rains.
While in plains, only one or two places in Punjab will have isolated light rain on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation over Bangladesh and adjoining areas has become less marked. With this, intensity of rain will decrease over Northeast India but scattered light rain and thundershowers will continue.
The trough is also extending from this system up to South Odisha. Accordingly, we can see some isolated light showers over parts of Chhattisgarh and Odisha.
Moving down south, the feeble cyclonic circulation is also prevailing over North Interior Karnataka. A trough is running from this system up to South Tamil Nadu.
This will bring scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers over parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and South Karnataka on Saturday.
Meanwhile, isolated parts of West Bengal and Odisha continue to reel under the grip of heatwave conditions. Though Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are not witnessing heatwave but day temperatures will continue to settle above 40°C.
