The cyclonic circulation over Meghalaya and adjoining Assam continues to persist. With this, fairly widespread rains will continue over Upper Assam and Arunachal Pradesh on Friday. While rest of the region will continue with scattered rains.
A trough is also extending from this system up to North Coastal Andhra Pradesh across West Bengal and Odisha. Accordingly, we can see some isolated light showers all along the well-marked trough line.
Moving down south, another feeble cyclonic circulation is seen over North Interior Karnataka. A trough is running from this system up to Comorin region across South Interior Karnataka. This will bring scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers over parts of Kerala, Interior Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka on Friday.
Meanwhile, day temperatures across country have taken a dip, bringing relief from heatwave conditions from most parts of the country except parts of West Bengal and Odisha. However, day temperatures will continue to settle above 40°C.
