To begin with North India, a Western Disturbance is seen over North Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining Pakistan. This system will give scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers over the state along with Himachal Pradesh. Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan. In wake of this, scattered rains can make a show over Punjab and parts of Haryana. Delhi NCR could also see some light rain or thunderstorm activity.
Coming to Central India, hot and dry winds will continue to blow over the region. Many parts of states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh will remain under the grip of heatwave conditions.
Moving onto East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over North Bangladesh and adjoining areas. Also, a trough is extending from this system up to Kerala. Thanks to this, moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers will continue over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and northeastern states. Isolated heavy to very heavy showers also cannot be ruled out.
Most parts of East India will continue to witness dry weather, only Odisha could see some rain activity.
In wake of the trough, South Coastal Karnataka and Kerala may record rain and thundershowers at few places, while rest of South India will continue with warm and dry weather.
