Weather Forecast for April 3: Heatwave to persist in Central India; Rain in Northeast

Heatwave has become a common weather feature over most parts of India. Many parts of states like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha will remain under the grip of heatwave conditions.

Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Vidarbha and adjoining areas. Also, a trough is extending from this system up to Coastal Karnataka. With this, rain can make a show at isolated places over South Chhattisgarh, North Telangana and North Interior Karnataka.

Another cyclonic circulation can be seen over Comorin area. From this system, a trough is extending up to North Kerala. Thanks to this, light rain and thundershowers is expected to occur at a few places over Kerala.

Up in East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation can be marked over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining areas. A trough is extending from this system up to Coastal Odisha. In wake of this, moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers will continue over northeastern states. East Bihar and adjoining Jharkhand could also see some isolated activity.

Moving to North India, an active Western Disturbance can be marked over North Pakistan and adjoining Afghanistan. This system is likely to move east-northeastwards. With this, rain and dust storm activity with strong winds are expected over Northwest India including Delhi NCR.
