A Western Disturbance is over east Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this system, light to moderate rains will continue over many areas of Jammu and Kashmir and a few parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Its induced cyclonic circulation is marked over Punjab and adjoining Haryana. With this, we expect scattered thundershowers and dust storm activity over Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Isolated hailstorm is also expected.
As far as Central India is concerned, some parts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh will record temperatures above 40 degrees. However, heatwave will remain abated over the region.
Coming to East India, a trough is running over the Jharkhand and West Bengal region. Therefore, scattered rain may continue over the state of West Bengal including the capital city Kolkata. Northeast India will also record scattered rains.
As far as South India is concerned, the trough persists over Interior Karnataka. Also a cyclonic circulation is over Sri Lanka coast. These weather features will increase the rainfall intensity over Karnataka, Interior Tamil Nadu and adjoining Kerala. Good rains may make an appearance over Bengaluru as well.
