About a lakh have been affected by incessant rains in Northeast India. The intensity and spread of rainfall have reduced now but we should not lower our guard as the regional flood alert system is still in place.

North India will mostly have dry weather conditions with westerly winds blowing over the region. The Western Disturbance will move northwards and bring some precipitation if at all only over the higher reaches. Sunny skies with light breeze likely over the plains. We could now see a rising trend in temperatures. Delhi-NCR could touch the 40°C mark very soon. The first half of next week could see some good amounts of pre-Monsoon activity in the plains.

Some relief likely from flooding rains in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. But, rain and thundershowers will continue over Lower Assam and Meghalaya. But rain will increase after a couple of days. Weather will remain pleasant over here with maximums in high twenties and minimums in lower twenties.

The trough extending from this system up to Telangana could bring some rain and thundershowers along the coastal areas of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

The wind discontinuity extending from Maharashtra to Comorin region will bring very light rain and thundershowers over North Interior Karnataka and Kerala. Rain will not be good enough to bring any major relief from hot weather conditions in Rayalaseema, Telangana and adjoining areas.

Looking at the heatwave conditions, we could say that coastal parts of Odisha could see slight drop in Temperatures. But, Heatwave conditions will prevail in Odsiha, Telangana, Vidarbha, Mrathawada, Rayalaseema, Bihar, Jharkhand and parts of Chhattisgarh.
