A fresh western disturbance is seen over North Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir.
This system will give scattered light rains over the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Its induced cyclonic circulation is persisting over Central Pakistan and adjoining North Rajasthan.
Dust storm and thunderstorm activities are expected over North Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and foothills of West Uttar Pradesh. Rain may occur over some parts of Punjab.
Temperatures will witness a marginal drop over these areas.
As far as Central India is concerned, heatwave will continue over parts of West Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha.
Coming to East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Bihar. A trough is extending from this system up to Northeast India. Another trough is extedning from this system up to Odisha. Due to these weather features, light to moderate rains are likely over many parts of northeast states, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and East Bihar.
Light rains may occur over Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal. Kolkata may witness some rain and thundershowers as well.
Down south, a cyclonic circulation is over South Chhattisgarh and adjoining Andhra Pradesh. A trough is extending from this system up to Comorin region across North Interior Karnataka, western parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. With this South Karnataka, Kerala and interior Tamil Nadu will receive scattered afternoon shower in the next 24 hours.
Bengaluru may also receive a spell or two of rain and thunderstorm activity
