Weather Forecast for April 22: Thunderstorm in Delhi, severe heatwave in Odisha, West Bengal

A fresh Western Disturbance is approaching North India again is presently marked over North Pakistan am adjoining areas. While it’s, induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan. Both the systems are moving in east direction and will give scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on Friday. While Uttarakhand will record rain at very few places. Meanwhile, plains of Punjab and Haryana could also see some isolated light rain. While, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh too stand a chance of isolated thunderstorm and dust storm on Friday.

Moving to Northeast region, the cyclonic circulation over Assam and Meghalaya continues to retain its strength. With this, entire Northeastern states including Sikkim and Sub Himalayan West Bengal will continue with light to moderate rain and thundershowers with isolated heavy spells on Friday.

The feeble trough is still seen running from Gangetic West Bengal up to North Coastal Andhra Pradesh across Odisha. Though this trough will not give any significant weather but isolated activity cannot be ruled out.

Moving down south, a cyclonic circulation is over North Interior Karnataka and a trough is extending from this system up to Comorin area. With this, scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely over Kerala, Interior Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka. Even Bengaluru could also see isolated thunderstorm on Friday.

Meanwhile, no relief is likely from intense heatwave over the country. Heatwave to severe heatwave will prevail over Odisha, Rayalaseema, Telangana, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Vidarbha and Marathwada region of Maharashtra.
