A western disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced cyclonic circulation is persisting over Central Pakistan and adjoining areas.
Due to this, intensity of rain is likely to increase over Jammu and Kashmir. Rain will also commence over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in next 24 hours.
Dust storm and thunderstorm activities are likely over North Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and foothills of West Uttar Pradesh. Parts of Punjab are likely to witness rain and thundershowers.
However, heatwave conditions will continue to grip northwestern plains. Temperatures will observe a marginal fall. Meanwhile, parts of central region West Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha will reel under intense heatwave.
Coming to East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Bihar and Jharkhand. A trough is extending from Punjab to Bangladesh. Due to this, light to moderate rains are likely at many places of northeast states.
A trough is extending from Jharkhand to Tamil Nadu across Chhattisgarh and Telangana. Due to this, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha and Chhattisgarh may also receive light to moderate rains.
Down south, Kerala, South Karnataka and interior Tamil Nadu will receive scattered afternoon shower in the next 24 hours.
