Weather Forecast for April 21: Rains approaching North, Heatwave in East and Central India

The Western Disturbance lying over North Pakistan and the cyclonic circulation over here will reach the Indian region very soon. It will start affecting weather in the hills by April 22. Fairly widespread moderate to light rain likely over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Temperatures will take a dip over the plains as well. Foothills of Punjab and Haryana will also be affected. We can expect some light rain and thundershowers over Jalandhar, Pathankot, Chandigarh and Ambala. Dust storm activities likely in North Rajasthan. Delhi will not be affected by rains as such.

Northeast India continues to receive light to moderate pre-Monsoon showers. The cyclonic circulation will bring scattered rains mostly over Assam and Meghalaya.

There is a cyclonic circulation lying over Marathwada. The trough extending from this system up to the circulation over here will bring isolated rains over South interior Karnataka, Kerala and adjoin Tamil Nadu region.

No relief from heatwave conditions pockets of West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Marathwada. Telangana and Rayalaseema will also come under the ambit of heatwave once again.
