Weather Forecast for April 20: Heatwave in Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra; Rain in Bihar, West Bengal

Beginning with North India, a Western Disturbance is seen over North Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir. It’s induced the system over Central Pakistan and Punjab.

Due to this, isolated rain and thunderstorm activities may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and isolated parts of Punjab.

However, severe heatwave conditions will continue to grip northwestern plains of Punjab, Haryana, South Rajasthan and Delhi. No relief is in offing for the next few days.

Similarly, parts of central region including Vidarbha and Madhya Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh along with Rayalaseema and Telangana will reel under intense heatwave.

Now, a trough is extending from Vidarbha to Comorin region across Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Due to this, isolated rain may occur along the trough line.

A cyclonic circulation is seen over coastal Karnataka that would give rains over Kerala, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Up in East India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over East Uttar Pradesh and a trough is extending from this system up to Arunachal Pradesh. Another trough is seen from this system up to Gangetic West Bengal.

With this, foothills of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal may receive thundershower or thunderstorm activities.

In Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is over East Assam and adjoining Arunachal Pradesh. Due to this, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh will receive moderate rain and thundershower activities with squally winds.
