Weather Forecast for April 2: Rain in Kashmir and Northeast India, heat wave in Maharashtra

The Western Disturbance has moved further eastward and is now lying over Jammu and Kashmir. While, it’s induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan and adjoining West Rajasthan.

With this, we can expect fairly light to moderate rain and thundershowers over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Meanwhile, northwestern plains will continue with clouding on Saturday. However, foothills of Punjab along with Jammu could see some isolated light showers.

Another cyclonic circulation is seen over Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal. On one side the system will continue to give good rains over entire northeastern states including Sikkim and foothills of Bihar. Some places might record heavy rains as well.

While on side, a trough is extending up to North Coastal Andhra Pradesh across Odisha. Accordingly, we can expect rain and thundershowers accompanied with squally winds and hailstorm all along the trough line.

Wind discontinuity continues to be seen from Madhya Maharashtra up to Kerala across Coastal Karnataka. This will give isolated light showers over Kerala and Karnataka on Saturday.

Meanwhile, parts of Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Vidarbha and Marathwada regions of Maharashtra will continue to reel under heat wave like conditions on Saturday with day temperatures settling in early 40s.
