Weather Forecast for April 16: Deep Depression likely in Bay; Severe heatwave in Andhra Pradesh

The depression over South Central Bay Of Bengal is likely to intensify into a deep depression. This weather system continues to move towards north- northeast direction and may intensify into a Cyclonic Storm.

With this, widespread rainfall along with squally wind is expected over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Moving into Eastern region a trough is extending from northeast region. With this, Arunachal Pradesh and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal may receive moderate rain and thundershower activities during the next 24 hours.

A cyclonic circulation is seen over north coastal Odisha. A trough is running through this system from Northeast Uttar Pradesh to coastal Andhra Pradesh across Jharkhand and coastal Odisha. With this, short spell of rain and thundershower activities are expected at few parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, coastal Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile, north and northwestern plains are experiencing dry northwesterly winds and will continue to persist under pleasant weather conditions over hills with mainly clear sky.

Coming to Central India, heatwave to severe heatwave will continue to grip parts of Rajasthan, Punjab and west Andhra Pradesh along with few parts of Vidarbha and adjoining region of Marathwada.

Down south, isolated rain and thundershower activities are likely to continue in parts of Rayalaseema, South Karnataka, Kerala and North Interior Tamil Nadu.
