Weather Forecast for April 14: Low pressure likely in Bay, heatwave in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana

The cyclonic circulation over Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a low pressure area any time now. With this, moderate to heavy rains are expected over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The system is too far to affect Indian mainland but coastal Tamil Nadu may see partly cloudy weather.

Meanwhile, another cyclonic circulation is marked over South Madhya Maharashtra and a trough is extending till Kerala. With this, scattered rains are likely to continue over Kerala, Interior Tamil Nadu and South Karnataka.

Moving into East India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Bihar and Jharkhand and a trough is running from this system up to Chhattisgarh. Due to this, isolated rains may occur over the parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and West Assam but East India will remain dry.

Up in North, a feeble Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir, which would give light rain and thundershowers over the state and Himachal Pradesh.

Meanwhile, dry and hot weather will persist over Northwest India. A trough is extending from Punjab to West Uttar Pradesh. This system will give few spells of isolated dust storm activities which may occur over Rajasthan and few parts of Haryana.

Coming to Central India, heatwave to severe heatwave will continue to grip parts of Gujarat, and West Rajasthan. It will soon extend and cover more parts of Rajasthan along with areas of Madhya Pradesh, South Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
