East India will remain dry during the next 24 hours. However, a trough is extending from Northeast up to Odisha. Moisture laden winds from the Bay of Bengal will reach Northeast India resulting in light rains over parts of East Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Down South, a trough is extending from North Karnataka to Kerala. The system will give scattered light rains over Kerala and isolated showers over Coastal Karnataka.

A cyclonic circulation persists over Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal region giving good rains over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This weather system is likely to intensify into a low pressure area during the next 48 hours.
