Weather Forecast for April 12: Heatwave in Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat; cyclone in Bay likely

A fresh feeble Western Disturbance is currently over North Pakistan. The system is expected to give light rains over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir. Dry weather will continue over the rest of North Indian hills.

Rise in maximums is likely over North Indian plains. Heatwave is also expected in some parts.

Coming to Central India, heatwave has made a comeback over the state of Gujarat. Other states including Telangana, and Rayalaseema will also come under the grip of heatwave. Mercury will settle above 40 degrees over these areas.

Mumbai will remain hot with the mercury settling around 37 and 38 degrees.

In East India, the cyclonic circulation persists over Bihar and a trough from this system is extending up to North Coastal Odisha. With this, light rains along with lightning and thunderstorm activity is expected in isolated pockets of East India.

As far as South is concerned, a circulation persists over Central Karnataka and a trough is extending from Rayalaseema up to the coast. The system will give light rains over Kerala and South Tamil Nadu.

Another circulation persists over the Bay of Bengal region giving rains over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This weather system has the potential of developing into a cyclone during the next few days.
