Weather Forecast for April 10: Rain in hills of North India, heatwave in West Bengal and Bihar

The Western Disturbance is still lying over North Pakistan and adjoining areas and we can expect scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. While, Uttarakhand will only have isolated rains. Light rain is also likely over some parts of Punjab. Its induced cyclonic circulation is over South Pakistan and adjoining Southwest Rajasthan. With this, isolated hail storm is likely over Rajasthan. Maximum temperatures across the plains of Northwest India will witness a rise.

Meanwhile, the intensity of rain will decrease over Northeast India. However scattered light rain and thundershowers will continue over Arunachal Pradesh, East Assam, parts of Meghalaya, Manipur and Mizoram on account of a trough running from Arunachal Pradesh up to South Manipur. Isolated light showers are also likely over parts of Coastal Odisha and adjoining West Bengal.

Moving down south, the trough continues to run from Vidarbha region up to Comorin region across Karnataka and North Kerala. A feeble cyclonic circulation can be seen embed over the trough over Coastal Karnataka. This will bring isolated light rain over Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra and Karnataka on Sunday. Meanwhile, Scattered light rain is likely over Kerala, with few moderate spells. Extreme southern parts of Tamil Nadu can also see some light rain.

Meanwhile, heatwave conditions will return to Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha as day temperatures will rise again Sunday onwards. While, temperatures will also start rising over Maharashtra.
