Weather Forecast for April 1: Rain in Kashmir and Himachal, heat wave in Maharashtra

The fresh Western Disturbance is now lying over North Pakistan. While, it’s induced cyclonic circulation is marked over Central Pakistan and adjoining areas.

With this, we can expect scattered rain and thundershowers over Jammu and Kashmir from Friday evening. Himachal Pradesh will also see some isolated showers.

Meanwhile, northwestern plains will have to wait little more for rains but for now they will only see clouding on Friday.

However, these system will arrest the rise in day temperatures over plains including Delhi.

Another cyclonic circulation is seen over Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal and a trough from this is extending up to North Coastal Andhra Pradesh across Odisha and Jharkhand.

Accordingly, we can expect rain and thundershowers accompanied with squally winds and hailstorm all along the trough line.

This system is also affecting the wind pattern over Northeast India. With this, entire northeastern states including Sikkim will continue with good rain and thundershowers for next 48 hours. Isolated places may witness hail storm also.

Moving to Peninsular India, wind discontinuity can be seen from Madhya Maharashtra up to Kerala across Coastal Karnataka. This will give isolated light rain over Kerala and Karnataka on Friday.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra will continue to be the hottest pocket of the country, particularly Vidarbha and Marathwada regions where day temperatures are settling in early 40s, leading to heat wave like conditions.
