Pre Monsoon activities have picked up pace over the country, particularly over parts of East and Peninsular India.
Beginning with the weather conditions across North India, the Western Disturbance continues to prevail over Jammu and Kashmir, while its induced cyclonic circulation is over central Pakistan and adjoining parts of Punjab, Haryana and North Rajasthan.

With this, scattered light rain and thundershowers are likely to continue over parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In fact, dust storm and thunderstorm activities are also expected over Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh.
Due to these pre Monsoon rains, the day temperatures might fall by few degrees over the northwestern plains. Delhi is expected to witness warm weather. However, chances of thunderstorm and dust storm are likely.
Moving to East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is prevailing over East Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar and a trough is also extending up to Bangladesh.
In wake of these combined weather systems, light to moderate rain and thundershower activities are possible over the foothills of East Uttar Pradesh, East Bihar, West Bengal, Assam and Tripura. The remaining northeastern states along with Jharkhand and North Odisha would also record isolated rain and thundershower activity. Kolkata stands a chance to observe thundershower along with partly cloudy sky.

Another trough is running from this circulation up to Kerala across Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Marathawada, Telangana and Interior Karnataka. With this, dust storm and thunderstorms are anticipated over Madhya Pradesh, North Madhya Maharashtra, parts of Vidarbha and Marathwada.
Meanwhile, on account of humid winds from Bay of Bengal, we can expect scattered rain and thundershowers over Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and isolated parts of Kerala and Karnataka. However, weather over Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, and Tamil Nadu will remain almost dry and very warm.
The city of dream, Mumbai will observe a warm and humid day. Similarly, day will be warm and humid in Chennai also. However, Hyderabad is expected to observe light rain along with partly cloudy sky.
