However, the east-west trough continues to running across East India and so does the north south trough from East Uttar Pradesh till southern parts of the country across central India. With this, light to moderate pre-Monsoon rain and thundershowers are likely over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and isolated parts of Jharkhand. Few areas of Gangetic West Bengal might even see some isolated heavy spells. These showers will also be accompanied with squally winds.

The adjoining region of Northeast will too continue with light to moderate rains across the entire region.

Meanwhile the central parts of the country would continue to be hot and dry on account of hot and humid winds from Rajasthan. Places such as Gujarat, South Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, particularly Vidarbha region which is under the grip of extremely hot weather conditions.
