A fresh western disturbance is seen affecting Jammu and Kashmir which has also induced a cyclonic circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining areas. A trough can also be seen running from this system till East India, across the Indo-Gangetic plains.

With this, per-monsoon isolated rains and thundershowers are likely over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. However, the impact of activity would be more over the plains and we can expect light rain along with thunderstorms and dust storm all across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR and West Uttar Pradesh.

Another trough is seen running from East Uttar Pradesh till southern parts of the country across central India. Thus, with these prevailing pre-Monsoon weather systems, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely over East Uttar Pradesh, foothills of Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and isolated parts of Jharkhand. These showers will also be accompanied with squally winds.

Also in adjoining region of Northeast, humid winds from Bay of Bengal will also keep conditions conducive for light to moderate rains across the entire region.

Meanwhile due to lack of moisture, this trough will not be able to give any weather over the central parts of the country. Thus hot and humid winds from Rajasthan continue to blow over the region leading to extremely hot weather conditions over Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, particularly Vidarbha region which is under the grip of heatwave.

Moving down south, the trough is most likely to give light to moderate rains over Kerala and South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru. Meanwhile coastal Andhra Pradesh could see few spell of thundershowers as well.

Further, another cyclonic circulation is seen over southeast Andaman Sea, which would bring moderate to heavy rains over Andaman and Nicobar islands during the next 24 hours.
