A Feeble Western Disturbance is moving across Jammu and Kashmir. Another fresh Western Disturbance is expected to follow shortly. An induced cyclonic circulation is also seen over North Rajasthan, Punjab and adjoining areas and a trough from this system is extending up to Gangetic West Bengal across Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.
Due to these systems, we expect isolated rain and thundershower activities over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and parts of Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, plains of North India including Delhi will witness a drop-in temperature during the next two days.

Moving to the weather in East and Northeast India – All the northeastern states along with Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are expected to witness scattered rains and thundershowers. Gangetic West Bengal including Kolkata are also likely to observe thunderstorm and thundershower activities.
Further in Central India – heatwave conditions are likely over parts of Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh and Marathwada.
A trough is seen extending from Uttar Pradesh to Interior Tamil Nadu across Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. However, due to lack of moisture, we do not expect any rains over the region.

Lastly in South India – heatwave is also likely to extend to Telangana, North Interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema as all these areas would see temperatures crossing 40 degrees. Isolated rain and thundershowers are expected over coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Scattered light rain and thundershowers will also be observed over Southern Peninsula including Bengaluru. Chennai is expected to witness dry weather conditions whereas, Hyderabad may also receive light rainfall activity.
