Pre Monsoon activities have taken a back seat over India. With this temperatures have risen in most parts of the country. In fact, heatwave has gripped many areas in Central India. Beginning with North India, the Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining regions. This weather system will continue to give good rain and thundershower activity over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. In fact, scattered pre Monsoon activity may also occur over Uttarakhand. Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Pakistan and adjoining Punjab and North Rajasthan. A trough is also extending from this system up to West Uttar Pradesh. In wake of these combined weather systems, parts of Punjab may also witness pre-Monsoon activity. In fact, Haryana, North Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh and Delhi are also likely to experience isolated dust storm or thunderstorm activities.

Moving to Central India, dry and hot westerly-northwesterly winds are expected to blow over Central India. Therefore, isolated pockets of South Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha may experience heatwave conditions. Meanwhile, remaining districts would settle with day maximums at 40°C or more.
In East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Bihar and Jharkhand. A trough is extending from this system up to Nagaland. With these combined phenomena, scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers will continue over Northeast India, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. In fact, rain and thundershowers may also occur at isolated places of Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal. Meanwhile, Bihar and Jharkhand with continue to witness dry and warm weather. In fact, weather in Kolkata is expected to be sultry with partly cloudy sky.

Lastly in South India, a trough is seen extending from Chhattisgarh to Interior Tamil Nadu across Telangana and Interior Karnataka. In view of this trough, rains will continue to occur over Kerala and parts of South Karnataka and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. In fact, Bengaluru may also receive thundershowers. Meanwhile, weather of Telangana, Rayalaseema and North Tamil Nadu will remain dry. Therefore, Chennai is also expected to witness a warm and humid day.
