The Western disturbance is moving away eastwards. Therefore, the weather over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will become gradually dry. However, scattered rains are expected to continue during next 24 hours. Meanwhile, the weather of northwestern plains will become dry. It is expected that winds would change direction by evening of April 12 and likely to blow over the northwestern plains. Hence, we expect gradual rise in day and night temperatures over the northwestern plains. However, in Delhi there are chances of light rain during early morning hours. Meanwhile, later parts of the day will be warm.

In central India, a trough is extending from Bihar to Tamil Nadu across North Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. In wake of these weather systems, we expect isolated light rain or thundershower activity over parts of Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha during the next 24 hours. Thereafter, the weather will become dry. Meanwhile, weather in South Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat will remain dry and warm. In fact Mumbai will also observe warm and humid weather conditions.
Moving to east and northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over northern parts of Bangladesh and adjoining areas, and humid winds from bay are reaching over ne states Therefore, good rains are expected over Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast India. In fact, isolated rain and thundershower may also occur over East Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha. Guwahati is likely to witness rain and thundershower activity.

Lastly in South India, a north south trough is seen running across Telangana, Interior Karnataka to Interior Tamil Nadu. In view of this weather system, light to moderate rains will continue to occur over Kerala, interior parts of Tamil Nadu and at one or two places over Karnataka and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Chennai is expected to witness warm and humid weather conditions.
