Weather Forecast Feb 3: Dense fog to cover parts of Solan, Rishikesh, Hisar, Delhi, Bareilly

A fresh Western Disturbance presently close to Iran is expected to cover Western Himalayan region by February 4. Its induced Cyclonic Circulation is expected over West Rajasthan. The dry north-westerlies are expected to continue over North and Northwest Plains. In coming 24 hours, we expect dry weather to prevail with few clouds over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Dense fog and ground frost are a possibility over the southern parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Whereas, dense fog with very dense could be seen at few pockets of Haryana, Punjab, North Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

Mist and shallow fog are a possibility during cool morning over eastern states of the country. Day temperatures might oscillate in the range of 25°C-28°C. Whereas, light rain and thundershower activities are expected at few places of Arunachal Pradesh and adjoining Assam. Moderate to dense fog is likely at some parts of Northeast India.

There is a possibility that central states of the country like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha might witness a drop in night temperature. Chances of sky becoming partly cloudy over some parts of East Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining Madhya Pradesh cannot be ruled out.

Down South, a trough is extending from south-west Bay of Bengal close to Tamil Nadu coast. Thus, we can expect light rain and thundershower activities at few areas along the coast of Southeast Tamil Nadu and isolated pockets of extreme South Kerala. Dry weather to prevail over rest parts of the South Peninsular region with chances of patchy fog along the coast of South coast Andhra Pradesh and adjoining Tamil Nadu.
