February 20, 2019 8:28 PM | Skymet Weather Team

To begin with North India, the Western Disturbance lies over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced cyclonic circulation is over Punjab and adjoining region. These two systems will continue to give fairly widespread moderate rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Light rains will also continue over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. Due to these rains, Delhi’s pollution will improve significantly and come under moderate category.

In Central India, weather will mainly remain dry. But due to the confluence of winds, isolated light rain is likely in parts of North Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh. No major change in the temperatures will be seen over central parts of the country.

Moving to East/Northeast India, parts of Jharkhand may also witness very light rain. Meanwhile, rest all parts will remain dry with scattered fog over Odisha and northeastern states. In fact, due to a feeble cyclonic circulation over Assam, patchy rains may also occur over parts of Northeast India.
