Weather Forecast Dec 5: Two Cyclones in Arabian Sea, expect rain in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik

As of now there are two systems brewing in the Arabian sea and both will intensify at the same time. Cyclone Pawan is headed towards Somalia coast and is expected to move northwestward initially and then more westward.

On the Cyclone Amphan is over east-central Arabian Sea and its impact will be felt in terms of light scattered rains over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and South Gujarat. The sea conditions over Maharashtra and Gujarat coast will be rough. The windspeed will be 40-50 kmph. Weather of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha along with South Rajasthan will be dry.

Down South, due to the formation of Cyclone, rain activities have reduced over South Peninsula. Now also we expect only light scattered rains over Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh with isolated over Kerala and Karnataka. Weather of Telangana and North Andhra Pradesh will be dry. Whereas isolated light rains may be a sight over Chennai and Bengaluru.

Up in North, cold northwesterly winds will continue over the Northwestern plains of our country. We expect further drop in minimums over the plains. Weather of hills will be cold, clear and sunny. In wake of light winds and low-temperature, Delhi pollution will rise further and will be in poor to very poor category at many places.

Dry weather conditions will be seen in eastern parts of our country. However, there will be marginal drop in minimums over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and parts of Jharkhand. Northeast Indian states will witness dry weather conditions as well. Shallow to moderate fog is possible over Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the morning hours.
