Beginning with North India, due to northerly/northwesterly cold winds, cold day and cold wave conditions would prevail in North India. Similar weather conditions are likely in northwestern plains. However, a slight rise in the temperature of South Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh is likely. A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Southeast Rajasthan. The system is likely to intensify and shift further northwestwards. Due to its presence, the wind pattern will change in Rajasthan, hence relief would be seen from cold wave conditions. Delhi pollution will be in poor to very poor category.
Moving towards the central parts of the country, due to northwesterly cold winds, cold wave conditions would continue in North Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh. Moderate to dense layer of fog would appear over the region. The weather will remain mainly dry with cool and hazy morning followed by a pleasant and comfortable day. A Cyclonic Circulation is also persisting over Southeast Gujarat in the lower levels. Hence, cloudy and comfortable weather will prevail in Gujarat. Very light rain is likely in Amreli, Veraval, Porbandar and Surat. Due to the same system, Vidarbha and Marathwada may experience light rain. Nagpur, Yavatmal and Parbhani may witness these activities. The weather in Mumbai will be dry. Day would be slightly warm followed by a pleasant night.

Talking about East and Northeast India, dry weather will continue. Due to northwesterly cold winds in Bihar and northeastern states, moderate to dense fog is likely during morning hours. Cold wave condition would prevail in many parts of Bihar and adjoining Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
Down South, an upper air Trough is extending along the Kerala Coast. Moreover, due to northeasterly moist winds from the Bay of Bengal, light rain is expected in one or two parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, South Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Chennai will experience slightly warm weather with chances of light rain. The weather in Bengaluru and Hyderabad would be cloudy and comfortable with a possibility of light rain in parts of the Hyderabad city.
