Down South, the easterly wind persists over South Tamil Nadu and the Low-Pressure Area is over Lakshadweep area that may intensify into a Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area, but it will be for a short time. This system is likely to move in north/ northwest direction and eventually it will weaken.
The combined impact of this will result in light to moderate rain and thundershowers over South Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Whereas, rains will reduce significantly over South Andhra Pradesh, South Karnataka and adjoining areas. Lakshadweep will continue with moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied with strong gusty winds.
Light to isolated moderate rain is expected over North Karnataka and Telangana.In Central India, parts of Maharashtra will receive light rain with isolated moderate spells. While extreme South Gujarat may see light rains only. Dry weather to prevail over rest parts of the region with comfortable weather conditions to follow.

Meanwhile in east and northeast, a Cyclonic Circulation lies over extreme southern parts of Northeast states. Isolated light rain is possible over Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram. While dense fog may be seen over Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland.
Rest northeastern states will witness mainly moderate fog including Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Seasonal dry weather is likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha with shallow fog to be witnessed during the morning hours in parts.
Finally, in North, dry weather will follow now. The morning temperatures will now dip over the hills with cool day to follow.Meanwhile over the plains, moderate north westerlies will prevail. Shallow to moderate fog will be seen in morning with sunny sky to persist.The pollution levels over Delhi and NCR will be in poor category in the morning hours and as the day will progress the pollution level may come into moderate zone.
