Weather Forecast Dec 12: Snowfall in Srinagar, Manali, good rain in Chandigarh, Ambala, Delhi, Meerut

The Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan and adjoining Northwest Rajasthan. A trough from this Circulation is extending across Haryana up till East Uttar Pradesh. Fairly widespread rain and snow activities with isolated heavy spells are expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh and Uttarakhand.

Intense rain and thundershowers with isolated hailstorm are also possible over Punjab, Haryana and northern parts of Rajasthan. Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh will also receive light to moderate rain and thundershowers from the afternoon of December 12. The day temperatures will drop by two to five degrees over hills and northwest plains of our country.

Heading to central parts of our country wherein a North-South Trough is extending from induced Cyclonic Circulation to South Rajasthan. Therefore, we may witness rain and thundershowers with isolated hailstorm over many parts of Rajasthan and some parts of Madhya Pradesh. Isolated places in North Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha may also receive light rain and thundershower activities. The northern districts of Gujarat may receive an isolated thunderstorm or light rain.

Heading to eastern parts of our country wherein light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected to commence over East Uttar Pradesh, parts of Bihar and Jharkhand by the evening of December 12. The weather of Odisha and West Bengal will be dry. Isolated rain and snow are possible over Arunachal Pradesh. The rest of Northeast India will witness dry weather conditions.

Finally, in South India, a confluence zone over Telangana can be seen, therefore isolated thundery activities are possible over Telangana and light rain at few places of Tamil Nadu. The weather of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka will be almost dry.
