Weather Forecast Aug 26: Rains ahead for Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Kolkata

Beginning with Central India! A Cyclonic Circulation lies over central parts of Madhya Pradesh. Thus, moderate to heavy rains are likely over West Madhya Pradesh, East Gujarat and northern parts of Maharashtra. While, other parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, and Gujarat will see light to moderate rains and thundershowers. Mumbai city will see a warm and humid day. Sky will remain cloudy sky along with chances of light rains.

Talking about North India, the Western Disturbance over northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir is now moving Northeastwards. Also, the western end of Axis of Monsoon Trough is passing across Northern parts of Rajasthan to central parts of the country. Thus, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand might experience light rains at isolated places. On the other hand, Punjab, Haryana, West Rajasthan and Delhi will remain mostly dry and warm. One or two places might report some rains.

Coming on to East and Northeast India, a Cyclonic Circulation lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal. Thus, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand are likely to see light to moderate rains. Bihar and Uttar Pradesh might also receive rains at isolated places. However, Northeast states might remain dry and warm due to the lack of moisture content. Weather in the city of Kolkata will remain mainly warm and humid. Some spells of rains can be witnessed over here.

Lastly in South India, due to a Cyclonic Circulation over North Bay of Bengal, light spells of rain and thundershowers are likely over northern parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. While southern regions of these states will remain dry and warm.

Moderate to heavy showers are likely at some places over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. South Interior Karnataka will experience light rains at isolated places. North Interior Karnataka, Marathwada, Rayalaseema and most parts of Tamil Nadu are likely to remain dry and very warm along with high humidity. The city of Chennai will remain very warm and dry. Bengaluru will remain humid yet comfortable with chances of light rains.
