Very severe cyclone Fani is moving in west/northwest direction towards Tamil Nadu Coast. Therefore, we expect scattered rain and thundershowers to commence over parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Scattered rains are also possible over parts of Karnataka including Bengaluru. Sea conditions will be rough over Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh Coast. Weather of Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and North Interior Karnataka will be dry and hot.
Dry winds form Northwest India will continue over most parts of Central India. Many parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat will continue to experience heat wave condition. No relief is in sight from the ongoing heat over Central India.
Humid winds from Bay of Bengal are feeding moisture over Northeast India. Therefore, rain and thundershowers will continue over the northeastern states, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Weather of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand will remain dry and hot.

A fresh Western Disturbance has approached Jammu and Kashmir. it has also included a cyclonic circulation over Northwest Rajasthan. Due to this, scattered rains will commence over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Isolated light rains will also occur in Uttarakhand, North Punjab and Haryana. Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan will remain almost dry.
