April 2, 2019 9:49 PM | Skymet Weather Team

To begin East/Northeast India, the ongoing rains over northeast India will now reduce to some extent. However, due to a cyclonic circulation over South Assam, scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers will continue over Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Isolated rains are also possible over Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Weather of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha will remain dry.

Moving towards Central India, a trough is extending from East Madhya Pradesh to South India across Vidarbha and Marathwada. Therefore, isolated rain and thunderstorm activity will occur in parts of Vidarbha and Marathwada. In the wake of dry weather, heatwave conditions will continue in parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha.

In South India, due to the feeble trough over Kerala, isolated rains are possible in Kerala. Weather of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka will remain dry and hot.
