Weather Forecast April 26: Rain in Kerala and Karnataka, heat wave in parts of Rajasthan, MP and Maharashtra

To begin with North India, a fresh Western Disturbance lies over North Afghanistan. Dry northwesterly winds will once again commence over the northern hills and plains. Therefore, weather will remain almost dry over the Western Himalayas. But still few higher reaches may receive isolated rain. Day temperatures will increase over Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. Delhi and NCR will witness hot and sunny weather.

In East India, a trough is extending from Bihar to Tamil Nadu across Jharkhand. Humid winds from Bay of Bengal are feeding moisture over Northeast India. Thus, we expect light rains over few places of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Assam. Weather of Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha will remain dry and very warm.

In Central India, due to dry and hot winds from northwest, heat wave conditions are possible at isolated places of East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Marathwada. Weather of Gujarat and Chhattisgarh will also remain hot and sunny.

In South India, the low-pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal has intensified into a depression. It will further move in northwest direction towards Tamil Nadu Coast. A north-south trough is passing through Telangana, Interior Karnataka and Kerala. Due to which, light rains may occur over Kerala and Interior Karnataka. Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka and Coastal Tamil Nadu will continue with dry and hot weather.
