A fresh Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir with its induced Cyclonic Circulation over West Rajasthan and adjoining areas. From this system, a trough is seen extending up to West Uttar Pradesh. Thus, we expect fairly wide spread rain and thundershowers over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The upper reaches of these states might receive snowfall as well. Talking about the plains, dust storm and thundershower activity is a possibility over many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and few places of West Uttar Pradesh. Isolated hailstorm activities with strong winds might also occur over these plains.

Heading to Central India, scattered rain and thundershowers is a possibility in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and isolated pockets of Gujarat region. Mumbai would also see rains during the next 24 hours. Due to these pre-Monsoon activities, heat wave conditions might abate from Madhya Pradesh. Also, these rains and cloud cover would lead to a dip in mercury by two to four degrees and would be in the range of 38°C-42°C.

While in East India, the confluence zone is seen covering areas of Bihar and Chhattisgarh. Hence, scattered rains over Bihar, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim with isolated rains over Jharkhand and Odisha is a possibility.

In Northeast, a Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Assam and adjoining areas. Therefore, light to moderate rains would continue at many places of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland.

Down South, a north-south trough is extending from central parts of the country to Interior Karnataka. Therefore, rain and thundershower activities are possible at few places of Karnataka and Kerala with isolated activities in Interior Tamil Nadu. Whereas, weather of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana would be almost dry.
