Incessant rains in Chennai have finally eased up with the weather system in Bay of Bengal moving northwards. The system has now intensified into the cyclonic storm Roanu and lies around 125 km east-southeast of Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
The core of the cyclone has moved away from Chennai but trails of the system are still impacting the Chennai weather and other coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. With this, heavy rains will now vacate Chennai and on and off spells of light rain will continue over the city on Thursday. One or two moderate spell may also occur over few pockets.
Sky will remain cloudy and moderate breeze will blow over Chennai, making city weather quite comfortable on Thursday.Hot and humid weather conditions will again make a comeback over the city Friday onwards.
