Several parts of East and Northeast  India are being lashed by good showers. A cyclonic circulation over Bihar and a trough extending from this system up to Rayalaseema across Chhattisgarh and Telangana will continue to bring rain over entire East India during next 48 hours. Isolated places in Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal could witness heavy rain as well.

The trough coming from the circulation in North India will also increase moisture levels. This part of the country is already troubled and rain could make matters worse.

The recent earthquake in Nepal and its aftershocks have claimed over 2000 lives in Nepal alone. Over 5000 injured as relief and rescue operations continue amidst tremors.  Heavy rains in the region over the next 24 hours may hamper search and rescue operations.

The cyclonic circulation over Assam and Meghalaya will bring rain over entire Northeast India at least for next 2 to 3 days.

Some relief in North India. Temperatures will remain below normal due to relatively cooler but humid easterly winds blowing over the region. Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and west Uttar Pradesh may get some thundershowers.

The wind discontinuity over Kerala will continue to bring rain over Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
