National Weather Video Report For 26-04-2015

April 26, 2015 12:21 AM | Skymet Weather Team

Day temperatures which were soaring way above normal in several parts of West, Central and North India, will now come down and settle in lower 40s.

But humidity levels are rising over Northern parts. Blame it on the change of wind patterns. Moisture laden easterly winds blowing over region will increase the discomfort level.

Here we can also see a cyclonic circulation and an induced trough extending up to northern parts of Karnataka. This weather system coupled with high humidity and temperatures could trigger thunderstorm activity in few pockets of North India.

A fresh western Disturbance will start affecting North India from 28th onwards. Rain in the hills could affect the char dhamyatra but people in the plains could get some relief.

The cyclonic circulation over Bihar will continue to bring rain over East India but with reduced intensity. Only Chhattisgarh and adjoining Jharkhand will receive good showers in pockets.

In South India, the easterly wave and wind discontinuity will bring scattered rain over Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Even Chennai and Bangalore could receive cool pre-monsoon showers.
