National Weather Video Report For 24-04-2015

Temperatures will continue to soar across West, Central and North India. Loo has been sweeping across most parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan. Temperatures will be above 40 degrees at several places in the two states. Heat wave conditions cannot be ruled out. Even nights are not pleasant anymore as minimum temperatures are recording in mid-20s.

A fresh cyclonic circulation over east Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas and a trough extending from the system up to Karnataka will persist for another 3 days. Thundershowers have already started over Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, and along the east coast. The rainfall activity could extend up to Vidarbha as well. But the intensity of rain has reduced over Northeast India.

Coming down to southern parts, where cool pre-monsoon showers have brought down temperatures significantly.

Heavy showers in last few days had flooded most parts of Kerala, uprooting trees and leading to traffic snarls. Tomorrow also we expect some rain in the region. Blame it on the trough of low pressure, extending from Karnataka to extreme southern parts. The trough is expected to shift eastwards and give rain in coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh as well.
